You must be age 7-17 years old at the time you enter the contest.

Do I need my parent’s or guardian’s permission to enter the contest?

If you are 13-17 years old at the time you enter the contest, you can register and enter a video to the contest, but you will be asked for a parent or guardian email in order to complete the registration process.  If you are 7-12 years old at the time you enter the contest, your parent or guardian will have to register and upload your entry for you.

What do I do after I submit my video?

You will receive an email letting you know if your entry has been approved for review by the judges or if you need to re-submit it for any reason.

What if my video gets rejected?

After you submit your video, we’ll review it to make sure it meets all of the contest requirements (it’s not using copyright music without permission, it’s 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length, etc.).  If it doesn’t meet the rules, then we’ll let you know and you may be given a chance to edit and re-submit it.  Please note: ALL submissions (edited or not) MUST be received by the contest deadline, so don’t wait until the last minute to submit your entry in case you have to edit it!

How will the videos be judged?

Winning videos will be selected based by an objective, independent panel of judges who will evaluate entries based on:

  • Creativity: style, message delivery, execution (50%)
  • Appropriateness: on topic (25%)
  • Effectiveness: clarity of message, persuasiveness (25%)

How will I know if I’m a finalist or if I’ve won anything?

If your video is a finalist, we’ll contact you on or about August 15, 2018.  Winners will be announced on or about the week of September 4, 2018.
